Char Dham Yatra Tour Itinerary from Dehradun

DAY 1 : DEHRADUN - BARKOT

Drive to Barkot via Mussoorie, En route visit Mussoorie Lake and Kempty Fall (Suggestible to have your lunch at Kempty fall as further no good restaurants are available before Badkot). Later drive straight to Barkot, transfer to your Hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax and store your energy for the Pahad (hill) Yatra of Yamunotri the next day. Overnight stay at Barkot.

DAY 2 : BARKOT - YAMUNOTRI – BARKOT – UTTARKASHI

After having your breakfast, proceed towards Hanuman Chatti, which is around 32 km from Barkot. After Hanuman Chatti, you will drop to Phool Chatti from where you can start your Yamunotri trek. Start the trek from Phool Chatti to Yamunotri, which is around 5 km. Visit the Yamunotri temple and take a holy dip in the Yamuna River. After darshan, trek back to Phool Chatti and Later drive back to Barkot then procced to uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Hotel

DAY 3 : UTTARKASHI - GANGOTRI - UTTARKASHI

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and We proceed to Gangotri (3048 mts), enroute we enjoy picturesque Harsil village, Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas. After Gangotri Darshan we return to Uttarkashi. overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

DAY 4 : UTTARKASHI – RUDRAPRAYAG - GUPKASHI

Early morning, drive to Guptkashi. Check in Hotel, night halt.

DAY 5 : GUPTKASHI - KEDARNATH

Morning drive to Gaurikund, Trek start from Gaurikund to Kedarnath (3584 mts) on foot or on by pony / Doli / helicopter. Tour members should carry personal medicines, heavy woolen, toiletries and clothes for an overnight halt at Kedarnath. Check in Hotel. Later visit Kedarnath Temple. Night halt.

DAY 6 : KEDARNATH - GUPTKASHI

Early morning, after Temple Darshan trek down to Gaurikund. Later, drive to guptkashi. Check in Hotel at Guptkashi. Night Halt.

DAY 7 : GUPKASHI - BADRINATH

Drive to Badrinath via Joshimath. Check in Hotel. Later at evening visit Badrinath Temple for Aarti. Overnight stay.

DAY 8 : BADRINATH – RUDRAPRAYAG via JOSHIMATH

Early morning, pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal. Just within the three kms of Badrinathjee. Later drive back to Joshimath. Check in Hotel. Overnight stay at Rudraprayag.

DAY 9 : RUDRAPRAYAG - DEHRADUN via RISHIKESH

Early morning, visit Dhari devi Temple & Kamleshwar temple. Later, drive to Rishikesh with Sightseeing – Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Parmarth Ashram. Then proceed to Dehradun.

Trek at Yamunotri & Kedarnath

During Char Dham yatra, you must be aware of these two trek destination.

Jankichatti to Yamunotri

Frist trek will start from Janki Chatti, where you can either walk for 2-3 hours (5KM) or take a horse / poni / palki ride for Yamunotri Dham temple.

Sonprayag to Kedarnath

Second trek will start from Sonprayag, where you can either walk for 10 hours (15KM) or take a horse / pony / palki ride for Kedarnath Dham temple.

Helicopter for Yamunotri Trek or Kedarnath Trek

You can take Helicopter from Yamunotir or Kedarnath Trek. Helicopter booking is controlled by IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) . Booking is not available for everybody. So We can not give you confirmation gurantee for your ticket. It is 50% chance to get your ticket confirmed. Still we will do our best for you. It will cost you from INR 6,000 to INR 10,000 per head round trip.

Helicopter Bookings are only allowed for (Tour Date -3 & Tour Date +2) based on Tour Date of Shri Kedarnath Dham provided in Char Dham Yatra Registration. For example- For Tour date of 05th May for Shri Kedarnath Dham, booking can be done between 02nd May to 07th May = 06 Days.

Chardham Yatra Registration 2024

For visting Chardham Yatra, You need to complete a free Chardham Yatra Registration from Uttarakhand Government.

Option 1:
Online Registration at registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in

Option 2:
Offline Registration, Reach Haridwar, Dehradun and then register travelers for Char Dham at certain points like Railway Station.

Option 3:
Registration at WhatsApp, 1st need to save this number “8394833833” and then type “Yatra”

Things to Carry for Chardham Yatra from Dehradun

Chardham Weather Details

The summer season start from April month. During this season, the temperature ranges in between 25°C and 35°C, and thus, making summer the best season for Char Dham Yatra as the weather favourable. The summer season ends in the month of June.

The monsoon season in Uttarakhand start in July and lasts till the month of September. Uttarakhand receives heavy rainfalls including the destinations of Char Dham. It is always advisable to check the weather forecast before starting Chardham Yatra during these months.

Winter starts in the month of October and ends in March, the winter season in Char Dham destinations receives a heavy snowfall. So, After November, Chardham Gates remain closed for devotees till March.
