Overview of the four sacred sites

Yamunotri: Located in the Garhwal Himalayas, Yamunotri is the source of the Yamuna River. The main attraction is the Yamunotri temple, dedicated to the goddess Yamuna.

Gangotri: The sacred Ganges River originates in Gangotri, a city in the Uttarkashi district. The Gangotri temple is the primary pilgrimage site here, dedicated to the goddess Ganga.
