Do Dham Yatra Tour Itinerary from Haridwar

Day 1: Haridwar - Barkot (190 km/7 hrs)

Embark on a spiritual journey as you begin your Do Dham Yatra from the holy city of Haridwar. After seeking blessings from the divine Ganga River, you will make your way towards Barkot, the first stop on this auspicious pilgrimage. Located at an elevation of 1,220 metres in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, Barkot serves as the gateway to Yamunotri and is surrounded by the majestic Himalayan peaks. Upon reaching Barkot, you will check into a comfortable hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Take this time to relax and prepare yourself for the spiritual adventure that lies ahead.

Day 2: Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot:

Rise early and fuel yourself with a hearty breakfast before commencing the journey to Yamunotri, the abode of Goddess Yamuna. A scenic trek of around 6 kilometres awaits you as you leave Barkot and make your way to Janki Chatti, the base camp for the Yamunotri shrine. The trek is filled with natural beauty, with the melodious sound of the Yamuna River accompanying you along the way. Upon reaching Yamunotri, seek blessings at the sacred shrine dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. Take a dip in the holy waters of the Yamuna River and offer your prayers to the deity. After paying your respects and experiencing the divine energy of Yamunotri, trek back to Janki Chatti and return to Barkot for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Barkot - Uttarkashi:

On the third day of your Do Dham Yatra, bid farewell to Barkot and make your way to Uttarkashi, a town renowned for its spiritual significance and natural beauty. The journey from Barkot to Uttarkashi takes you through winding roads adorned with picturesque landscapes. Upon reaching Uttarkashi, check into a comfortable hotel and take some time to explore the town. You can also visit the famous Vishwanath Temple, an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, and seek blessings for a successful yatra.

Day 4: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi:

Depart for Gangotri, the second stop on your Do Dham Yatra. Gangotri is situated at an altitude of 3,100 metres in the Garhwal Himalayas and is the source of the holy river Ganges. The drive from Uttarkashi to Gangotri takes you through picturesque valleys, charming villages, and thick forests, offering glimpses of the region's natural splendour. Upon reaching Gangotri, visit the Gangotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga. This ancient temple holds immense religious significance and attracts devotees from all over the world. Pay homage to the deity and immerse yourself in the divine atmosphere that surrounds the temple. Take a holy dip in the icy-cold waters of the Bhagirathi River, known as Bhagirathi Shila, which is believed to cleanse one's sins and purify the soul. After seeking blessings at Gangotri, begin your return journey to Uttarkashi, where you will spend the night.

Day 5: Uttarkashi - Haridwar:

As your Do Dham Yatra comes to an end, it is time to bid farewell to Uttarkashi and embark on the final leg of your journey back to Haridwar. The scenic drive from Uttarkashi to Haridwar takes you through winding roads, offering breathtaking views of the mountains, valleys, and rivers. Upon reaching Haridwar, you can witness the captivating Ganga Aarti, a spiritual ritual performed on the banks of the holy Ganges River.
